One in a thousand makes it...why can't it be me?
This is the question that all people chasing success ask themselves...especially in the world of cinema.
Sara P., a theater actress, also makes her way to the capital hoping to work in the film industry. To make ends meet, she begins working in a restaurant and, with great dedication, studies acting daily. She then meets a large group of showbiz intermediaries, who, each in their own way, will severely challenge her dreams of fame.
Until one day, ready to give up everything, she receives a phone call...
Cinecittà...here I am! is a semi-serious (or rather, tragicomic) account of how things work in Rome if you want to be an actor but have no one to introduce you. It's a hilarious and grotesque portrait of the diverse humanity that revolves around the pre-established mechanisms of the film world. I'd like to say that any resemblance to actual events or people is purely coincidental. I think you've already figured out that this isn't entirely the case...
